I've long since given up on Double Mountain fh beer. It's been roughly a decade since I last had a good one. From at one time making one of the best fh beers each year (Killer Green), they now routinely make some of the worst. Their fh stuff is typically pretty much devoid of any fh character.

Sadly I have to agree..just had to try them one more time. Every year.

Sigh... If I go to the Hood River event, I'll likely do the same. Even though I pretty much know what to expect.

Yesterday, when I was exploring how much I could drink with the fish & chips at Lumberbeard (answer: skip the 4oz 14.5% barleywine pour) before going to work in late afternoon, I was informed that a centennial fresh hopped pale is to go on tap at just about any time now. As far as I know, this will be the first FH beers for the Spokane area (I'm spending most of my free time packing and purging for my impending move up the hill, so I'm not exactly on the cutting edge of local beer news just now).

Got any tin tackers you want to purge?

I've never collected those. What I have in huge numbers is glassware (which I've already sweated down about 6 months ago; get rid of any more and I'm making HARD choices) and beer t-shirts (I've basically had to stop buying them, especially now that I can't wear them to work.

I took about 4 boxes of glassware to the Habitat for Humanity store a few years ago, keep about a dozen, but really only use the Tulip of Doom. I went through my clothes earlier this year and donated 8 large garbage bags. One of those bags was only T-shirts from a particular brewery. I still have over 100 beer shirts.

    From the Wayfinder newsletter:

    FRESH HOP KELLER PILS

FRESH HOP DROP! Conjured with our friends at Von Ebert, this unfiltered brew is a Frightfully flavorful creation. Its crisp finish is as elusive as a shadow in the marsh, while its aroma is a Sirens song of fresh meadow, wild flowers, and melon—a love letter to Oregon's iconic Mt. Hood hops. Fresh Hop Keller Pils is not just a beer but an aquatic adventure.

Living Haus has the best FH beers I've tried thus far. Cole w/ Centennial was the fave but Herman and Connie are both delicious too.

Are you able to publicly identify what brewery moved you to unload their shirts?

I prefer not to. But, long time denizens of the NW forum should be able to deduce which brewery that I might have had dozens of shirts from. Shirts I did not pay for.

At Beermongers for their Fresh Hop Festival, which is very well attended and lively. I'm having my first beer from Duality Brewing, an unfiltered Fresh Hop IPA called Neomexicanus.

I don't know what the fresh hop is, though the name of the beer suggests Zappa or Medusa. The nose is tangy with a delicate floral edge. The flavor leans toward tropical, with apricots and a splash of guava nectar. There's an herbal component on the breath that I'm attributing to the fresh hops. Finishes with a touch of hop burn/numbness. Frooty hop burps. Glad I tried it.

I might be doin' a heckin' misremeber, but I think Neo Mexicanus is a wild hop native-ish to the American Southwest/Mexico that grew wild. IIRC, somebody traced it, and started growing them, and that might be the hop used, and thus the name.

    Or, not. I dunno.

Neomexicanus is indeed a wild hop native to New Mexico

My wanderings took me over to Living Häus, where I encountered some folks from Ghost Town Brewing. They did a fresh hop collab with Living Häus (Fresh Hop Dino) and they're also the brewery of the month at Function.

Also: Living Häus Fresh Hop Cole is lively with fresh Centennial flavor. Great stuff.

In between Beermongers and Living Häus, I stopped at Baerlic (come on, it's right on the way...) for a pint of FH Punk Rock Time.

If you like fresh Strata hops, get in. This beer will give you what you need. Superb fresh Strata hop character.

Tried out the Zoiglhaus FH Kolsch tonight. The FH character is always subtle with this one, but I didn’t get any in this can. Still a fantastic Kolsch, but disappointing as a FH beer.

Lumberbeard officially tapped Disco Weapon today. It's a pale ale brewed with fresh Centennial hops from Crosby Farms in Oregon:
