Fremont Cowiche Canyon Fresh Hop Ale --- da bomb diggity.

 

While I annually dig Hop Trip, I thought Chasin' Freshies was a foul concoction.

Southern Hemisphere Fresh Hop is a wonderful beer around now. A good price for a bomber too.

 

hey just wondering, does anyone know if founders harvest is a fresh hop or wet hop? super delicious either way, just curious.

Fresh Hop Mirror Pond, Two Beers Fresh Hop, Ninkasi Total Crystallation, Double Mountain Killer Green, Great Divide Fresh Hop (Pale Ale rather than IPA), Elysian and New Belgium did a Trip series El Dorado Fresh Hop, but I don't know if that's a recurring one. Black Raven has done one the past few years, but I don't think its been the same recipe each year. Either the Two Beers or the Fremont Cowiche Canyon are my favorites.

 

There may be some confusion in areas where hops aren't grown but I think a brewery in the PNW would get laughed at if they tried to pass off a beer with only dried hops as a "fresh hop" beer. I always thought the point of these beers is to get the "greenness" in the taste.

 

Way to keep it on the down-low boys. This is easily one of my most anticipated beers of the year. I'm hoping to see canned 6-packs this fall. So very good.

Also, hoping Deschutes brings back Fresh Hop Mirror Pond this year.

I love fresh hop ales, Surly Wet is great stuff if not expensive, keep an eye on france 44 they carry it in season. SN does it right and at a great price too, I don't see how they can fresh hop anything and make in so affordable.

 

Surly Wet. Enough said. I really wish they would go back to using Citra.

 

No mention of Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA that is out now? Never had it, but I really would like to!

Great divide fresh hop, deschutes chasin freshies, and left hands fresh hop ipa (forgot the name) are all amazing.

 

Son of a... Thanks for clearing that up. Damn marketing fooled me again. I guess I shouldn't expect fresh squeezed OJ to come from fresh oranges either.

 

I guess I will try Central Waters Hop Harvest when it comes out in Oct. I'll keep my expectations low in hopes to be surprised.

In fact last fall Lakefront Brewery, Sprecher Brewing, Central Waters Brewing, Bull Falls Brewery and South Shore Brewery have joined forces to market a limited run of beers using freshly harvested “wet hops” grown in Wisconsin.

 

I actually enjoyed it but not as much as Hop Trip I will admit. What about it did you not like? I always appreciate others opinions so that is why I am asking. Cheers!
