Right - their 'definition' is widely known, but it's annoying because its extremely misleading as that is not the way the term 'fresh hop' is used in the industry. I like SN and Celebration, but they need to give it up already. It's not a fresh hop beer.

The best fresh hop beers I have had this year come from Fremont, Comrade, Barley Browns, Breakside, Fort George and Laurelwood.

Yeah. We can get to work on that once we clear up the use of "craft"! :grinning:

I'm well aware of that info on their website. And all it does is create confusion. 95% of all PNW beers that are brewed with hops picked off the bine and thrown in the kettle before they can be dried are called fresh hops. Out here we have fresh hop festivals, not wet hop festivals. It just muddies things up when they're doing something different than most every other brewery, but using the same term.

Rant over. Back to fresh hop love.

Fresh hop, not wet hop, there is a difference.

They're interchangeable names that seem to regionally based. Fresh hop and wet hop mean the same thing.

I tried Freestate Brewing's Yakimaniac . Fantastic beer! Lagunitas Born Yesterday and Sixpoint Sensi are also top notch.

Really they're all quite good, I like Founders Harvest a lot, I've never had one on tap, but I'd love to.
