Interesting. i really liked it. very unique hop flavor without a lot of bitterness. Probably why I like FH Workhorse as well

That is fine. I have an unhealthy obsession with fresh hops.

I had Hellbent's last week at the brewery. Starts off great but falls off fast. DRINK QUICKLY.

Had Big Time's Centennial fresh hop pale today at Burgundian after my run. It was fine. But it was fresh hop. So it's good.

Fo real. Had a great Amarillo aroma and flavor that dropped off incredibly fast.

Gonna get me some of that Gnar Gnar...I'm a fan of the normal recipe. Same creamy mouthfeel, I hope.

With the ABV & IBUs in the high 5/50 range, I dare say this Breakside FH Mosaic may be an English IPA. Certainly finishes w/ a nice malt taste...clean. EDIT: a very special Old World, one of my fave Breakside beers.

Hi, what does "FH" stands for, are you talking about Fat Heads or...?

I tried it during an ill-advised stop at The Beer Station in Wilsonville for their 2nd anniversary party last Saturday. I did not care for regular Gnar Gnar (thought it tasted like, well, nothing), and hoped the FH version would be an improvement. It wasn't. I thought it was too malty, slightly cloying, and didn't show off any of the typical fresh hop flavors or character.

Luckily, I also had FH Nugget Workhorse at the Laurelwood (NE) pub the same day, and that was delicious. Peachy goodness.

Having Worthy's Big Sticky right now, the aroma got me excited but the flavor is a bit short of that promise. I'm not saying a top-notch FH beer with 100% fresh hops is impossible, but avoiding any vegetal notes makes it tough.

Willamette Weekly did a great series of articles on Oregon hops, including a pitch-perfect primer/history of fresh hop beers. Great for the uninitiated with out sounding dumbed down to a beer geek. Check it out if you haven't already.

Closing in on 400 beers on my spreadsheet. Thanks to everyone who's shared info already, and if you have any leads to share I appreciate the leads.

Coopers Alehouse is having lots of fresh hops in the next week or so.

Breakside Simcoe and Lazy Boy right now. They've got Born Yesterday on deck.

Went to Green Dragon. Tried Coalition's FH IPA Wet Fruit (sour like Space Fruit...nah). The FH Ultra Gnar wasn't as enjoyable as the canned regular, to me. Really did like & took home FH Eliot from Ex Novo. Think the regular is good, but the aroma & drier body of the freshie is even better!

Funny anecdote...three patrons requested Vaporizer & were denied by a tapped keg. The last guy was so flustered! Here's an idea...try the FH pales on the list. At least he was coerced into the Snipes Mtn. FH pale, as they had a "meet the brewer" event tonight.

Hood River ain't that far, people!

I don't think it's been mentioned, but Vagabond and Salem Ale Works (SAW) here in Salem are doing some fresh hop beers this year.

Vagabond: Wet Owl IPA (Attack Owl w/Mosaic); FH Into the Wild IPA (w/Citra) - both are being released 10/5.
SAW: FH Drip Torch Red; Oast Fresh Hop IPA - these are out already

To anyone in the Portland area, Roscoe's is having a "Fresh Hop Summit" which is just three days (25-27) of FH beers. Check out their list!

Georgetown has FH Manny's available for growler fills and tastes right now at the brewery. They've also got a new FH beer called Dead Kenney. Centennial FH IPA if I read the sign right. Grabbed a growler for this weekend.
