Just picked up a 6 pack of this year's batch of summer ale.....i must say, this beer is phenomenal. i really liked it last year, but this year the hop flavor seems to be a tad stronger....but then again it is pretty fresh. i love me some citra and i'm really happy Narragansett didnt sell out and add any lemons or lemon flavoring. the citra does the job perfectly. what do you guys think? are you as surprised as me to see citra in a 'gansett beer?
Where the hell did you fing ganny summer? And no it doesnt really suprise me to see them using citra, all their other brews are quality made at a budget price. Stuff is great though, drank a case of it last summer.
I've had the bock. I thought is was good. Better than a lot of other Maibocks out there. It's not my one of my go to styles so I didn't mention it, but it was very good.
Douglas Wine and Spirits in New Bedford (dartmouth st, not the big one on king's highway....not that it matters much if you're in boston) they had a shitload of that and cream ale. i've had the cream ale before. it's good but i usually opt for their regular lager over it
Because of last couple weeks really nice weather, me and my friends down here at URI have already murdered about 3 cases of it while having barbeques and playing yard games every day after classes and work. I definitely need to grab another couple cases for my coke machine that we were able to change the slot sizes to fit tallboys . Really hope that it doesnt sell out before the end of summer like last year.
I looked the other day and my local place didn't have it yet. I'll go through at least a case this summer.
I didn't like the cream ale that much. I'd take the lager over it. I'm excited that the summer is back. It's also my favorite can design.
