Does this exist? Because I cannot seem to find any bottling code or printed date anywhere on their bottles or 6/12 pack boxes. Sometimes I do see a little code on the bottom of their bottles, but it doesn't seem likely. Help please.
IIRC its stamped on the box case which may not help you on and also on the neck of the bottle ,bottled on mm/dd/yyyy
Bear Republic dates have been pretty inconsistent for me in terms of their location, and just being there at all.
I have some in my fridge right now and from what I can tell the only markings on the bottles I have are near the base of the bottle. There are 2 rows of numbers and I'm guessing the first 6 numbers on the bottom row is the bottling date. Mine reads 072012 (followed by some other numbers that I have no idea what they refer to) so I guess that means July 20 2012...which puts it at almost 2 months. Not bad but not great if that is the bottling date. I live in Texas so I imagine the time from bottling to hitting shelves here is more significant than more western states. Still one of my go to IPA's but would love to try some as fresh as possible to compare and contrast.
Lower part, near base of bottle but may require turning it upsidown and holding it up to the light at the store. I know it's a pain, but there is a date there and I've seen a wide range of Racer 5 dates.
