Green Flash IPA used to be my go to beer but cannot seem to find it fresh anymore throughout the many shops I visit. For example, yesterday at a store in Attleboro I picked up Dubhe and Dogfish 90 less than a month old but the West Coast IPA was dated December 2012 so I passed.

Anyone know of a semi-reliable store in RI or south of Boston for fresh Green Flash?

We have good local beer in New England.

At the price they charge for a 12 oz bottle compared to other brands, is there any store than can be relied upon for freshness? Pricing coupled with a preceived quality drop and me and my fellow hopheads start looking elsewhere for IPA purchases. Flower Power seems to be coming in with a fresh batch every month recently....

Out of the large breweries looking to expand production with new facilities, GF is the one that has me scratching my head.

Unless GF' s New VA brewery results in both lower-priced & fresher bottles in New England, I'll continue to ignore the WCIPA. As it is now, most of the draft version around town is decent though.

Per LStaff' s previous post, move on to Flower Power...fresher & cheaper.

Very impressive on the DFH. I found some on Long Island that was 9 days old, they are doing a great job getting fresh beer othe shelves. GF on the other hand, the best case scenario is 2 months old if you are lucky.

He asked for specific recommendations for a store, not for a bunch of opinions on beers that are better.

Sounds like a distributor problem. Its hard to find fresh Firestone Walker also. I would kill for fresh Double Jack.

Try Flower Power or Wormtown Be Hoppy, both put Green Flash West Coast to shame. Fresh Stone and Lagunitas IPA's will also serve you well compared to West Coast.

To the above posters, yes I do enjoy all of the menioned beers. Just curious why the disconnect with Green Flash: I had some on tap tonight and it tasted very fresh, but bottles never as much.

Actually I had some Flower Power on tap at Doherty's Ale House last weekend and it tasted far from fresh. Nothing beats it otherwise.
