Can anyone identify a bottle or canned beer that meets the following criteria:

    - It's not local to you (not your state)
    - It is at least regionally or nationally distributed brewery/beer
    - It is from a breweries standard lineup beer (not special release or seasonal but brewed year around)
    - You can find it within 8 weeks/2 mo. of the bottling date) and it can be found fresh (8 weeks or less) most of the time (not a rare surprise) at most of your bottle shops/ craft beer selling stores in your area with ease (not just one specialty high-end shop)

Does this even exist and if so, what beer/brewery is it?

My guess is Stone Pale/Ruination 2.0's may be the most likely candidate.

I could list a couple dozen that regularly make it in under the two month mark but I believe that has more to do with the distributor than the brands.

Lots and lots of these in my area.

    Current favorite is Sixpoint Resin.

And to the OP - despite San Diego being so close to me here in Los Angeles, I routinely see out of date Stone beer in local stores.

Literally too many to list, ranging from coast to coast (e.g., Dogfish Head 60 min and others in the East, through Bells Two Hearted and others in the Mid-west to Anchor Steam and others from the West).

Within 2 months is pretty common for most beers. Usually where I shop if it's any older than 3-4 and it's not an age able style it gets discounted.

Sierra Nevada may be a good guess, too... a brewery with a West Coast and East Coast "anchor" (Asheville and Chico for SN, Escondido and Richmond (soon) for Stone)

Another vote for Bell's Two Hearted...seems like it's one of the few though. From time to time Founders All Day is around the month or so mark.

ONE time only I actually found Deschutes Fresh Squeezed around a week old. That was a rare treat.

Drink stouts, minimizing the worry about freshness (except BCBS apparently).

Sadly, it's rare to find beer that fresh in my parts commonly... Except for the big boys... We get fresh stuff and...it lingers and then...lingers.. Two Hearted bottled in November still sitting here... I bought it until it started fading...

Hmm, I don't go out of my way to look to be honest. But I can't think of any off the top of my head around Boston. Can anyone else from MA think of any?

3 months probably, 2 months...I don't know. I don't really shop around that much either, just a few stores, and mainly one store.

Two Hearted Ale. At best maybe 15 days old, just about always under 30. But it depends on the store, funny enough the local Lowes Foods is usually the freshest stuff around, beating the bigger bottle shops. But there isn't a bottle shop in Burlington either, so guys who like IPAs are reaching for 2H, it's a quick turnover item. I see it in bigger shops at 2 months old, the local IPAs being bottled and canned are pretty good, some of these locals the owner had to go get they're not distributed.

There's lots of great local options for IPAs that are 1-2 days old when they hit the floor. Depending on where you live Wicked Weed, Burial Scythe, Lexington Brewings Hop on Top are great beers. IMO better than Jai Alai.
