So I had a bottle of TDD La Morsure tonight and it was definitely well past it's prime (at least it tasted/smelled that way). When I decided to double-check the date on the bottle, this was confirmed. My fault for not checking in the first place...

My question is this, to any of you who pay attention:
How fresh can you normally get beers/how much rotation is there where you live/buy beer?
Obviously it hinges on the brewery, release dates, province, and numerous other factors, but I am genuinely curious.

The bottle shop that I normally go to (where I got this beer-- bottled in May:angry:) will usually have really fresh Moralité, for example--brewed in MTL, so that makes sense; but other things will sit on the shelf for an enternity (or maybe get re-stocked from cases in the back) even with what seems like pretty steady business/turnaround.

Honestly, it is only because of being able to get really fresh IPAs that I have even started really paying attention to this, it makes me wonder if the sorry state of QC IPAs was just due to lack of freshness all along... hahaha

Anyway, sorry for the ramblin'. Cheers everybody! :grinning:

If this discussion already exists elsewhere, I am a jackass for not checking first...
