Any recommendations for what to do on a Fri night (specifically this one) in DC? Haven't been in a while so I don't have much of an idea at all of what the best beer bars / breweries are our best general areas for beer. Thanks and cheers!

Start at DC Brau; from 4-9pm they have half-price pints. It'll also be on your way in to the city from PA. Then take your pick from my top 3 spots in the city: Right Proper, Bluejacket, and Churchkey. The first two are brewpubs and the third is the best beer bar in the city.

If you wind up at Meridian Pint, then head next door to eat at KBC (Kangaroo Boxing Club). Excellent BBQ!

Lots of great places to eat on 14th near Churchkey as well, all depends on what you want (and of course you can eat at Birch & Barley which serves all of CKs beers also).

I am also real impressed by the kitchen at Right Proper and love the fact they have a cheese counter too.

Pizza Paradiso is a great spot. They have lots of beers that aren't normally found around the area, and the prices are pretty good (especially happy hour). I personally like the one in Georgetown, even though that area is Chad central. Scion is also a pretty solid bar. They always have a great selection. Custykey, aka Churchkey, has a ginormous selection. It can just get a bit pricey, but it's very solid.

Right Proper and Bluejacket are great in terms of breweries in the area. DC Brau is a bit far out from where everything is happening. Right Proper makes better beers anyways and you can get DC Brau's best beer, OTWOA, at a ton of places around the city.
