He won't likely have time to make it over to the brewery, and was wondering what stores in Chicago have a decent 3F (and other breweries if course) selection. I know of Binny's, but don't know which locations have the best selection right now, or what other stores are worth stopping by. Can anyone in the area let me know where he should stop by?

I was at the Chicago Binny's a couple weeks ago and all they had was Artic Panzer Wolf. In fact, Artic Panzer Wolf is all I seem to find at most places.

    Try beermenus.com/chicago

Personal ideas? Try whole foods, they normally have a decent basic selection. Warehouse liquors on S. Wabash in the loop has been good about getting some special ones (I've seen Zombie Dust, Brian Boru, Dreadnaught, etc). Also Printer's Row wine.

I work in the Loop. Warehouse Liquors is way further south then I normally am but I'll need to find time to check it out at some point.

I was in Chicago last weekend and no one had any Three Floyds six-packs. West Lakeview only had bombers of Arctic Panzer Wolf and I think Rabbid Rabbit. They said that Three Floyds just can't keep up with demand and even sixers of year-round stuff are now scarce.

The Binny's I stopped at while in Chicago last weekend on N. Clark didn't have anything on the shelves, but I overheard someone ask and they had some in back. (I didn't bother seeing what because I was on my way out of town to hit FFF myself) Your friend may just have to call around.

Castle Vav (ie. the Lincoln Park Binny's, off Marcey St.) doesn't even bother putting Three Floyds' 6-packs on the shelves -- they just turn quickly to empty shelves. Never hesitate to ask someone if there's product in the back!

You also suggest Jewel (regional grocery store chain). The River North location has had bombers of Brian Boru and APW (for $8.99!!) plus assorted six-packs.
