Friend that lives in DC

    I have a friend that lives in DC. What breweries local to the area (or close) are putting out the best stuff... IPAs, BA stuff, etc.

    I'd like to have him grab a bit for a trade.

    Aslin is putting out the best IPAs (NE style) in the area. Ocelot (mostly WC style) is good as well and while I haven't had any, I've heard their BA stuff is good. DC Brau OTWOA is another solid DIPA from the area which might be easier for your friend to acquire since it's in DC and gets distributed locally.

    I'd also plug Aslin as one of the best in the NoVA area. DC Brau has some seasonal and special release goodies that might be worth nabbing. If your friend has a chance to join the 3 Stars club, do it.

    Further out options: Richmond (Triple Crossing, The Veil), Baltimore (Oliver, Diamondback, Union's special releases), Delmarva (RAR, Burley Oak).

    Rar might be worth the drive out. They make some of the best stuff in MD.
