Haven't seen anyone talk about this beer from Coronado Brewco. I just picked up 4 bombers the other day from Whole Foods Huntington Beach. This stuff is GREAT. Probably the best IPA I've tasted from Coronado (And I like their IPAs). Nice citrus notes, and goes down smooth. I was worried because it has added spices, but it just tastes like a top shelf west coast ipa. Anyone try this? My only complaint was the price which was like 7-8 bucks, (although got them for 5-6 on IPA appreciation day.)

I've got 1 in the fridge, haven't had a chance to open it. Lots of sediment in the bottom of the bottle, about the only thing I noticed off the bat.

Did not like, at all. Drank 8oz, gave it a fair shot, and drainpoured. I drainpour very rarely - just DFH and Bruery stuff! Love their Idiot IPA and a few others.

Was at WF HB day of Int. IPA Day and saw the bombers of Frogs Breath sitting on the shelves. Have had the Islanders, Idiot and also the Hoppy Daze IPA's before. It's been prob over a year since my last Coronado IPA. Like both Islanders and Idiot but there are others out there for the same price or better that I would pick up before. My first bottle of Hoppy Daze I thought was killer!! My second bottle bombed because it was old. Didnt notice before I bought it, it had sedi's on the bottom. And it tasted like vinegar. I think that was the last time I had any Coronado. I too thought the price was steep for the Frog's Breath IPA. For the same price I picked up a bottle of Pure Hoppiness and a bottle of JO for IPA Day special at WF's HB. Gonna have to buy some Coronado IPA's soon. But waiting for Citra and Hoppy Birthday!

I initially feared this was a thread about a new beer from the infamous Blue Frog in Fairfield. I'm glad to see those fears were unfounded.

I also thought it was bad. It was overly bitter from start to finish, but the bitterness was not the typical hop bitterness I enjoy. I feel like it was from the lemon peel and/or whatever other citrus they used. Not good.

Same. I just can't put it into words like you! No beer judging in my future....

I thought it was quite odd....I actually enjoyed the bitterness and citrus/lemon flavors (although they do taste added, not from hops) however the spice was off-putting. I don't like spice or any of that shit in my IPAs.

Had one last night, nothing great, not bad but not worth buying again.

    Cheers.....

Wow, guess I'm alone on this one. LOL Had another one yesterday and it was good. But as others have pointed out, probably a little steep on the price to repeatedly buy it.

I had a bottle last week and thought it was good. There are other beers at that price I prefer, but I would get it again.

I tried it a while back. I gave it a solid 4 rating. Good stuff.

Had one last night actually, really dug it. Definitely has the West Coast IPA flavor but along with that citrus that really comes out after it warms up a little bit. Reminded me a lot of the Ballast Point Sculpin IPA but with more flavor cause of the spices at the end. Big fan of it.

Took a visiting friend for a quick pint at CBC a few months back and this was on tap. It was a really busy night and it was two deep at the bar, so we waited about 20 minutes to get any beer. I managed to order a couple of the Frog's Breath finally which I'd never had or heard of before. It ended up tasting pretty awful and they were impossible to finish. I felt really bad that night for insisting that CBC beer was worth the hassle.

I like it on tap. Most of the bottles I have seen in many stores have a ton of shit on the bottom of the bottles so I passed.
