I'm staying in Frostproof, FL for a couple of days. A search in this forum results in zero queries. A search in the "places" page insinuates Frostproof doesn't exist. A top ten Yelp search populates such wonders as McCoy Tileworks and Cornelius Welding as popular places to visit. The only reason I've even heard of the name is because of the movie Identity, and even the characters in the movie were incredulous at such a city. Does anyone one actually live there? And is it possible to get a decent beer or will I have to start craft beer withdrawals?
lol you my friend are in the sticks, but being from KY you should be used to it. Wife's family lives in Sebring just south of you and no there isn't anything there either. your only about 60 miles or so from Tampa, head to cigar city. It will be worth the trip. If you don't have access to a car, your screwed.
It's a road trip, but I'm sharing a car with someone, I'll just have to convince him that there's something really awesome in Tampa that he'll be specifically interested in. We'll be passing through a lot of good places so I might stock up on the way down and just hole up in the motor inn or bed & breakfast or whatever the hell people stay at in Frostproof.
Yeah, drive over to Cigar City and hit up Total Wine right next to it while you are at it. That will at least give you a chance to grab quite a few bottles of local offerings.
Dear god why are you going there? Never mind, I don't want to know. You're only hope is to stock up en route. Sorry. Even Tallahassee is off your probable route, so make sure you get no further south than Atlanta without a trunk full of the good stuff.
