Plenty on the shelves on Saturday at Naperville Binny.
This is one that a few places are holding back as one per customer, where you have to ask the beer folks to go in back and get you one... but I suspect that it's going to end up on the shelves in greater numbers, because of the $30 price tag. Kind of like the 50/50 Eclipse releases... they appear, are hush hush-one per person, and then a bunch sit on shelves for a few weeks.

Thanks, went out to Binny's in Algonquin to pick some up.
I live close to the Des Plaines location, but Algonquin has them beat hands down.
    Cheers,

Saw them in Wisconsin so if anyone cant find any, I am headed back up there this week. Did not buy one myself because of the price...although I am tempted.

I meant selection and knowledge and overall attitude.
I picked up Fruet, Frangelic Mountain, Devil Dancer, 120min, and Saison-Brett form Boulevard

Are folks generally sitting on this for a while, or opening fresh? Just a curiosity. I've had some before at a bottle share, but it was many beers in, and I don't remember what it was like.

Bodega Ramos had two on their shelves as of last night. As for the bottle aging, did anyone else notice that the label states that the beer can age 'for decades'? I suppose the alcohol content is high enough for a good amount of aging, no doubt, but decades?

It wouldn't be the first beer that suggests that. We're just dubious about ANY beer pulling that off. It's like the Dogfish suggestion to go bury the beer in your back yard or whatever.

Sorry to disagree but, I've found the staff at Des Plaines to be very knowledgable and they've always had a positive attitude. As far as selection, there is not as much demand for craft beer releases in McHenry County. Des Plaines probably gets just as much if not more than the Algonquin store. It just moves a lot slower.

However, anyone still looking for Fruet in Chicago, the Binny's South Loop store had a case of Fruet (12 bottles) on the shelf about an hour ago as well as several bottles of White Oak and BA Naked Evil, in case you are looking.
