I bottle and the Belgians (lights & darks) I've been making for the last few years have, far as I can tell, peaked ~8 months or older. Crossed my mind to throw blueberries or raspberries in my latest batch. By the time the bottles are good, will the imparted flavor still be around?

Well, in my Belgian blueberry, useing 2 quarts, and up yo 1 gallon of blueberries per 5 gallons of beer I’d say yes tho for myself, it’s not as loud as I hoped it would be. @Prep8611 says putting a bit of lactose in the mix makes the fruit pop, but I have not tried it yet.

im still working on raspberries so don’t know.

    good luck.

Blueberries are the worst berries in terms of trying to add flavor and I recommend using a blueberry extract to get ur beer there in addition to the berries . Blueberries aren’t popping with flavor juice wise and the skins have a lot of tannins which poses obvious issues.
