Open to other whiskey as well.

Closed for a completely different package of bourbon for beer.

Wow. I may be wrong but I don't think Anabasis can pull that weight alone.

Value right on point! Just a matter of someone trading bourbon for beer.

I think this is a good offer.

Ft: Weller 12 750ml ISO: anabasis b4 have not been closing on the burrito, but a ft: m10 bourbon ISO: anabasis b4 did. M10 bourbon and EC 18 are pretty close in value.

Times like these it would be nice to be on facebook.... bourbon traders gouge like a mother f'er on this site.

P.S. I'm a STL guy thinking a STL beer wasn't worth gold... GASP! the horror

At least as far as secondary goes, EC18 is about 1.5 times cost of M10

Where are you seeing this? In local bourbon groups they both go for 200, which tends to be close to OTD price in WA.

Those guys are doing each other favors. Bourbon always goes higher on here and especially if beer is involved. It's ridiculous.

Completely understand and agree with this statement. What I have seen EC 18 and M10 bourbon are fairly close in value, both trades and sales. Do people who are trading beer for bourbon value EC 18 higher than M10, very possible.

For me it's just personal preference as I plan on drinking it.

There are a number if websites online that essentially sell at secondary prices; a simple google search will show you M10 and EC18 are not the same cost. Imho, $200 for EC18 is a steal (given than the shelf price is $150) and $200 is too much for M10.

I should mention : not hating on OP at all, I’ve only ever traded for bourbon, and I don’t have a bottle of EC18 but the few times I’ve seen it for sale I can’t stomach paying $300 for it.

For reference, in the MN whiskey trading group I follow M10 went for $210 a week ago, EC18 for $215 and a month ago EC18 went for $200. I think there is significant variation on whiskey around the country.

I think looking purely at resale values in beer for bourbon trades is ignoring a lot of what makes a trade work and what makes both sides happy. Think of it this way: you're looking for someone who would spend $150 on an Anabasis, plus tax, plus shipping, plus they don't get to drink the EC18. While there are some people who spend a ton of money on a single bottle of beer, lots of people do not like to do this. So with this trade, not only are you going after the bourbon for beer crowd, you're also limiting yourself to the people who are willing to shell out a lot of cash for a single bottle, which is a small subset of traders. Full disclosure, I've got both Anabasis and EC18, but as pumped as I am to drink the Anabasis, I'd be super hesitant to spend that kind of money on one barleywine.
