What did you end up closing for if you don't mind sharing?

That's a pretty good haul. I think you'll be happier with that than six of them.

it's the time in the line that makes this a perfect trade....

Yeah it definitely has sold for $100 or more per bottle multiple times on several FB groups. And in regards to your other mention of the wait in line... I waited 3 hours and 15 minutes for PtY bottles today. I'm not proud of it but I was picking up my member beers too. I figured a monday around 2:00 PM would be a good time because you miss the lunch crowd and also people going after work but boy was I wrong. I don't know how the line today was so much worse than what it was yesterday (on a Sunday) but I've got poor timing I guess. You could buy two BBTs for what those guys would get /were getting for 6 PtY bottles.

Any idiot paying $100 for an IPA deserves the disappointment they are going to feel once they taste that beer.

Yeah, I saw a few of those 100 per sales… but the audience wanting to pay that for a WCIPA seems so small. Even now posts along those lines are just getting laugh reacts, and it’s only bound to drop (pretty quickly). Sell or trade while you can, if that’s the plan.

I don’t disagree. I actually just traded a PtY for a Hill Farmstead CD33 1:1 so people want this beer. It was really damn good this year. And yea I realize the CD33 was a one-off deal but these deals are closing.

For the record, and maybe not the majority, I was happy I overtraded for my PtY a couple years ago. It lived up to the hype for me.

Super glad (and lucky) Philadelphia gets PtY on tap so I don’t have to make these ridiculous trades to get this tick. For the record, I did think it was REALLY good and get the hype. Just not $100 good. Was more than happy to pay the $10 for 12oz and no wait. Didn’t even mind adding on the $20 Uber ride to get the tick LOL

Does Fatheads make fresh batches of Hop Juju or was it a one time batch in 2022? How easy would it be to get them? Any suggestions on how to get it?

Hop Juju is one of their flagships and comes out annually, if I'm not mistaken. If you have any friends around Cleveland or Pittsburgh, they should have fairly easy access. I'm not certain on their distro beyond those areas, but I'm guessing it's a painless get. Happy hunting.

It is the experience, and the beer, that has me going back. In years past, it's been a pilgrimage for a delicious beer unlike any other available. Rain or shine, making plans for a day of anticipation and merriment, and meeting other hopheads. That is something you can not get in a bottle.
