Not sure if you can call BAFV coconut Maman... isn’t it different barrels and a different stout base blend?
It’s confirmed Coconut Maman. All of there stouts use the Maman base. This was aged 15-21 months in Rye Whiskey Barrels and then aged an additional 4 months in rum barrels and then they added a ton of coconut. I’m in a bunch of St. Louis groups and it was confirmed coconut maman from what I have seen.
I mean they use the same stout base sure, but thats like saying Weller is the same as Pappy van winkle. Differently selected batches of that recipe
Very true! W12 is the closest thing you will get to lot b. Same recipe but the better barrels are selected and labeled Lot b and the rest is labeled W12. I put coconut Maman because that’s what I’ve seen folks in St Louis call it. Maman base stout aged in rye barrels and then rum barrels with coconut added. Closest thing to coconut Maman
