Bourbon Barrel Aged Frenched Toast 2022 is another returning collaboration with Horus Aged Ales the third batch is ready to go. BBFT is an Imperial Stout aged in Heaven Hill 12 year Bourbon barrels for a period of 34 months. After racking the beer from the barrels we conditioned the stout on Madagascar Vanilla beans for another month before adding Korintje cinnamon and maple syrup.

What would happen if you added our sour Blueberry Muffin beer to a crop of stouts that were aged in Widow Jane Bourbon barrels for 34 months? You would have Bourbon Barrel Aged Blueberry Pancakes. This small batch barrel project has plenty of maple syrup and blueberry, but it was also conditioned with a limited edition coffee blend from Mostra named Nick’s Pancakes after their coffee roaster Nick. To keep things even more serendipitous these bold beans kick off flavors of blueberry jam and maple syrup.
