My wife is in town for work and willing to bring back some beer to MN. My questions are...

    1. Is Cigar City available in Ft Lauderdale?
    2. Is there a good liquor store near 818 and 95?
    3. Is there any good local Ft Lauderdale beer she should grab? We generally lean towards IPA's.

    Thanks!

the best liquor store imo in lauderdale (and i've been to them alll......) is on 17th causeway in the publix shopping center

the riverside market has heaps of beers too, but cost a bit more. https://www.facebook.com/riversidemarket
but is a awesome place to have a few beers n' great food too.

you can get cigar city stuff, but limited......you can get maduro, tocabago, hotter than hells lager, and jai alai ipa.....none of the seasonal stuff is out, apart from some cucumber saison, which they had some of last week at said total wine. there is a crown wine n' spirits across the way on 17th but they have less selection. the funky buddah up in oakland park is up and running, but they're not bottling yet. hope this helps. Cheers!

Mammal33 pretty much hit it. If your wife is going to visit a liquor store to buy you some bottles to take home, Total Wine on SE 17th St is convenient from anywhere in Fort Lauderdale and probably your best bet. For IPAs, they should have Cigar City Jai Alai, but if they are out, check the Publix in the same plaza.

Also for IPAs since you can't get these in Minnesota you could also check out Georgia beers by Terrapin and Sweetwater. Sweetwater IPA is excellent, and Terrapin Hopsecutioner is a very good IPA as well. They also might have Terrapin Hop Karma, which is described as a Brown IPA.

Thanks for the input. Hopefully, she has time to stop. I have had plenty of Sweetwater and Terrapin before. Enjoyed both too.
