Agreed. Even at 6:1 you’re getting screwed on the prop side.

Id never trade any BCBS variant for any number of hype haze cans.

I’m sure KJ is the real deal. This batch of VH got some outstanding reviews. But I couldn’t imagine trading a prop that’s only ever gonna be made once for an ipa that will now be brewed more regularly. Just doesn’t make sense to me.

While I do tend to agree with this statement, I’m not quite sure what it has to do with this conversation. I hope you land your KJ but if you don’t fear not because it will be back at some point and I will certainly take you up at 6:1

Well I give you "props" no pun intended for not hyping the beer in your neck of the woods. People are driving 2 hours out of their way on a Wednesday for a limit 2 cans. Say what you will about the bourbon county variants but that's a lot of effort for an IPA that hasn't been released in years that may be the best double ipa ever.

At this point with migration weeks Vanilla rye and some other BCBS are sold more often than King Julius. I’m a fanboy but even when they release good morning people will say well it’s not BA so don’t trade anything for it

Don’t get me wrong I’ve takin that 2 hour drive myself in several occasions. Love the brewery, ima big fan of their beer too but I’m not gonna bust a nut over “the best double ipa” so far. For most craft beer drinkers the best beer you have is always the next one. 9 times out of 10 the “best” beer out there is the hypest beer or the flavor of the week. Not to put that beer down or speak ill of what a brewer is making but most craft beer drinkers have no loyalty. Pliny used to be the best ipa, heady used to be the best dipa, dinner was the best ipa, KJ/VH is the best dipa now but a year from now we’ll all be another tip. Again I’m not trying to direspect craft drinkers, I think it’s just the nature, new micro breweries poping up every other day you’re bound to hit in the next best thing that everyone will gravitate towards.
