Have the other RR beers in the box and general access to most CA breweries. Trade history got lost in the great BA server crash. Can provide references.
Damn should’ve posted this when it first came out I would’ve been interested! I’m pretty close to forest and main. Not interested in month old PtY now though
FYI: Currently, there is no cask in a box available for purchase. https://www.toasttab.com/forest-and-main-brewing-company/v3/
F&M is playing along with Machine House: “March Mildness” So more boxes to come, for those interested in this offer to not derail
If it makes you feel any better, it was cold when it was delivered and refrigerated since. Had one a few days ago and it's tasting fantastic. It's three weeks from delivery date. Not a warm stored shelfie...
I held onto a bottle of 2020 PtY for a month after the bottle date just to see how it held up. Held up great! No noticeable difference from a bottle that was opened just a few days after bottle date. I plan on expanding this experiment to 6-8 weeks with a 2021 bottle.
Who asked you to "age" Pliny? Do you consider a one month old Pliny "aged?" One week old PtE vs. one month old PtE are two different beers. I'd have to assume Younger follows Elder there which leads me to believe anybody that trades for Younger right now is getting a beer past it's prime and is overpaying. But you know what they say. Tickers gonna tick
Nobody asked me to do anything - letting some time lapse before opening certain beers are personal experiments of mine to test how time effects beer. I used the term "aging" in quotes to denote the silliness of using the term in this situation. Certainly only letting a month go by before opening a beer is hardly "aging" it .
