Are there supposed to be points assigned to the Continuance and the Assassin as well? How do the points come into play for the pluses?

Forgive me for being naive….but I know a lot of the side project stouts have a TWCP version as well, and am aware it stands for the wine and cheese place. But what does this mean? What makes the TWCP versions special or more valuable? Are these hand selected or something sort of like a store pick whiskey?

@Bhubbard34 if the question is what this specific beer is, it is a "blend of select barrels of Double Barrel-Aged M.J.K. which were aged in oak for 21 to 31 months and then finished on a light enhancement of Mexican Vanilla Beans." However, I wonder if you were more asking what the relationship between TWCP & SP and values is.

TWCP has been finding barrels for Cory King since he started out brewing, so in return Cory brews them beers as a thank you so they can sell them at their store. This started out with Merci, but has evolved to stouts and barleywines. Often the TWCP beers are only available through the TWCP stores and not Side project (Merci, TWCP derivation). I think the value comes from these releases typically being more limited and scarce. Same can be said for the values of TWCP releases from Perennial, Main & Mill, and soon to be 2nd shift beers. This particular beer was only released to La Coterie & TWCP customers so it will not be seeing a public sale. Hope that helps.

@Affinity gotcha and thank you. Yup was curious about what the relationship was and why they got their own version of certain beers from SP, which you answered. Cheers!

to add, the TWCP version has the vanilla beans added, the SP 'only' blend of Continuance did not, correct?

I believe the blends are different as well. b2 is not simply b1 with added vanilla. Totally different beer. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Continuance blend #1 - a blend of Barrel-Aged Barleywines and Stouts

TWCP Continuance – Double Barrel-Aged M.J.K. finished on a delicate addition of Vanilla for our friends at The Wine and Cheese Place

In the pipeline, Continuance Blend #2 resting in bottles – Single Barrel-Aged M.J.K. finished with Cinnamon and Vanilla

Each Continuance blend is a different blend of barleywine, stout, or mix with or without adjuncts. In doing so these blends are very similar to the Derivation blends, which each had different base stouts with different adjuncts.
