Got a reply back from Full Sail Brewmaster today and he said they are opposed to the can due to the chemical in the liner that has been banned for plastic water bottles but continues to be used in canning today. Never heard that before but I still put in a suggestion for 12 oz bottles for Session instead of the weird 11 oz stubby deal they sell.
An ounce is almost 10% of the dad gum 12 oz beer that I normally drink. Would drink more Session without the grenades.
An 11oz bottle is 8.4% less than a 12oz bottle, but considering that 12pks of Session are usually at least $2 cheaper than any other 12pk on the market it's not like you're actually being "cheated" out of anything. they're simply selling you slightly less beer for slightly less money.
To FS, why make us go thru a 11 oz experience when 90% of all beer consumed in the U.S. Is 12 oz? Ok ok I know it's just an ounce but it is so weird!!!!!!!!!
That was the volume of the original West Coast stubby bottles 80 years ago when they were first released, as seen in the below ad and label of Full Sail's Stubby bottle inspiration, Olympia Beer. Many beer cans on the Pacific coast were also 11 oz. at the time. Granted, in the East and mid-West, brewers used 12 oz. Stubbies...
