In Northern Australia, I'd look for one of these:

It may not be the greatest lager on the market, but how many comparable things can you find for $10/12pk?

I think that's why it isn't as popular in much of the rest of the country - in NJ, a 12 pack'll typically cost $15>up.

The bottles seem a little "hipsterish" for me, like they're trying to grab some market share. I don't particularly care for the Red Sessions, but I like the Black ones pretty well.

That would certainly explain it, and I certainly wouldn't buy it very often at that price when I can get 12pks of stuff like SN Summerfest for the same price. That strikes me as odd, as it seems like most of FS's beers are pretty much the same price across their whole distribution area. I thought the whole MO with that beer was to offer a "craft lager" or close to "macro lager" prices.

Ounce for ounce here in Atl cost the same as SN Summerfest so being hard wired on 12 onzas I'll go with SN. But I do now understand the history and molds and such. Just trying to help the FS folks with ocd market share.

Here you can usually find it for $11 for a 12-pack, so even at the equivalent of a buck per 12 ounces, it's not a bad deal for a pretty good PAL. No, it's not a "great" beer, but on a hot summer afternoon, knockin' back three or four of 'em won't knock you on your ass.

I really don't notice 1oz less (or more often .8oz since the bottles are often 11.2oz), so it doesn't bother me.

Is anyone bothered that a 16 oz bottle/can has 0.907 oz less than a half liter bottle/can?

    I could not resist!

It all depends on the marketing. If a brewery decides to try and pull off an ice cream or coffee trick and pass off 11 oz. for the same price as 12 oz., I have a problem with 11 oz. beers. If a brewery has always sold 11 oz., no problem.

Session typically comes in 12 packs. I've never noticed a shortage in a single bottle since there are 11 more.

No, because I realize the serving size before I buy the beer.

    Machts nichts zu mir...

It's a decent enough lager series. I like the dark lager best, and at the price point for any of the three offerings (lager, dark, Fest), it's a damn fine bargain...

That is why I drink Natties in the new 25oz can...they have taken the one ounce from the Full Sail and added it to the original Natty recipe...outstanding

It only bothers me if this starts a downward trend of smaller and smaller beers.
