i made an immersion chiller with some regular copper tubing. i have a question about getting it fully cleaned.. i scrubbed it till it got that brite shiny new copper. with the green 3m scrub sponge. now if i sanitize with my regular sanitizer then boil in some water, (not nesicarily in that order) is that sufficant to get oils and whatever else is on new stock tubing?

Soap and warm water sounds good enough to me, that's all I did when I built mine.

I did soap and water.. No real scrubbing. Soak it in the starsan before I use it.

Oxiclean and warm water seemed to do the trick for me

Starsan and then immersing the chiller in the boil for the last 10 minutes is what I do.

Clean is more important than sanitized at this point. A few minutes in the boiling wort will sanitize it.

All the above answers are good, I soaked in Isphore but never scrubbed its not necessary.
