Ok, cool. Great view from that deck!

Their bottles seem to be everywhere now! Picked up a sixer at my local grocery store.

Man if I did all that driving in one day, especially criss-crossing style I'd be too exhausted to even drink the damn beer by the time I got home. I'm curious to see if he'll give up on Treehouse or not, unless it's right on his way home.

Me checking in again... So I got a case and a half of heady and 5 growlers from Hill Farmstead. Did the tasting for $5 four samples. Just blown away by the craft flavorful taste to their brews. Now en route to BTs Smokehouse in Strubridge. Guys at Hill told me best BBQ in New England and it's only 20 mins from treehouse. Give myself some time eating and drinking a heady since its byob so the treehouse line can dissolve a bit since I'm only getting cans. This day has gone so damn smooth so far (fingers crossed). Hope it ends just as good! Should be home back in CT by 8:30. Talk to you guys later!

(Can NEVER be too tired for a heady)

Good job man, wish I was still young and motivated. I would need a nap after one stop.

Haha thanks man. I am starving though I'll tell ya that. Just a bagel all day. 2 hours till I get to the BBQ joint and do work! Question for everyone though, since the case and a half of heady is already cold I assume I have to remain to keep it cold and put it right in the fridge tonight? What's the max I have to drink it all do you guys think? 2 months?

    Thanks!

    Joe

They stay pretty tasty for a while, but with most hop forward beers, the fresher the better. I have had some last 2 months and I did not think there was much if any depreciation on flavor.

This is probably one of the most epic New England beer daytrips I've ever heard of. Seriously impressive. You better post a picture of your haul in the thread! Also BT's is amazing, now you got me craving it.

definitely refrigerate it all; preserves the hop flavor (hop oils). as for how long will it last? that's all preference but heady keeps pretty well. like someone said, fresher the better, but as long as it's refrigerated i doubt you'll notice much of a difference between 2 weeks and 6 weeks. couple days old vs 6 weeks, maybe, though chances are the 6 weeks could even be better (beer can be too "green" as well).

who knows? whenever i've bought more than i could drink in a month i was never upset about it.

Keep in mind HF might be a bit busier that Friday w/the festival the following day. Also, arriving at opening you will probably have your longest wait.

Question on Hunger Mountain, do they still give out tickets? They had been giving them out at 8am for the 9am sale but have not heard if they are doing that now that they have moved to 8am sale time.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up. I like getting a ticket and not having to stand in line the whole time. Sounds like a great trip for you today. Enjoy!

Awesome thread. Love how beer community can be. On a similar note. Headed to NH for wedding Saturday and then staying at Killington thru Tuesday. Likely going up to Montpelier / Waterbury Monday to try to get a 4 pack or two of HT. Since I will have family with, be at the right place at the right time may be tough. Anyone up that way interested in some trading? I could bring six packs of; victory, Appalachian, old forge, elk creek. ..I would need to know by noon if so. Thanks. Ted
