    Updates:
    • The brewery lineup has been finalized! We're working on the beer lists next, which could result in the earliest we've ever released the lists.
    • Taking what we learned from VIP at IPA Fest and Extreme Beer Fest, @Jason and I are personally curating some VIP-only beers to be poured in the lounge. We plan on doing a meet & greet with VIP, too. More to follow...
    • Brato was a big hit at Extreme Beer Fest, so we're stoked to have them back at FUNK as one of three food vendors.
Looking forward to seeing around 2,000 or so of you there! And thanks for your support!

I noticed there weren't any Belgian brewers on the list. Was this a conscious decision compared to last years lineup?

Last year's lineup for Belgian Beer Fest: Day of Inspired Ales had a couple of importers, but that's it. And yes, it was a conscious decision. As much as we'd like to invite Belgian brewers to join us, there are numerous factors that make it cost prohibitive.

Over 60 of the 125+ wild & sour beers that'll be pouring are now listed. Thanks to @Britt, this could very well be the earliest that we've ever started to posted a fest lineup. :beers:

FUNK Boston by the numbers (so far):
    • We have 54 beers that feature fruit. From cherries to berries, stone fruits to Buddha's Hand, and grapes in every form you can imagine. It's practically a fruit salad in a glass!
    • We may be FUNKy, but we haven't forgotten the hops! At least 10 beers have been dry-hopped.
    • There are 39 beers have spent time in wood. Eleven of those hung out in wine barrels, 8 were aged in spirits, and the rest got their character from oak barrels or foudres.
    • And we couldn't do FUNK without our friend Brett, which makes an appearance in 19 beers.

Just curious, I thought I had seen Casey was going to make it out but it doesn't look like they're on the list now. No dice?

They had to bail last month. Stretched too thin and needed to focus on opening their new location.

Quick question for @Todd or other organizers (and apologies if I missed this somewhere): are there different beers in different sessions, or is everything the same? Any risk of stuff running out during the first two sessions and not available in session 3, or are there separate kegs allocated for each session? Thank you, looking forward to this!

As per the FAQ, the lineup is the same (more or less) across all sessions. And while we urge brewers to ration limited quantity beers across sessions, all beers are subject to change and availability.

    See you there!
