Hit me up if you need a proxy and are willing to sell me one bottle of each. I freed up Nov 14 expecting to go, but a work meeting ran a few min late so I was shut out.

This bothers me. Perfectly legal and risky, but is partly why it sold so fast.

It might be part of the reason, and I understand why it might bother you, but eventually the word would get out of how good these beers are. I think the whole Proxy thing in this case might be a little more blown out of proportion considering that I know the 2-3 people that have posted here (including myself) for proxies and the only reason we are in for these beers is because we know what we are getting here. The three of us (including the dumbass above @Fahmie25 haha) have a friend from the area that has been letting us try these beers in shares for a few years now, so we knew about this for a while. I might be totally wrong here, but I think the majority of the people getting these beers are still locals. Dropping the limits might be the answer bc I don't think anyone really needs to have 6 of each, but proxies just allow people to prepare for the release, rather than sit out in line at crazy hours without certainty that we will even get the beer.

Haha couldn't even give me 15 minutes to think I was correct there? I thought our trade years back would give me a little leeway haha. Well, then nvm, I can only explain a few of these a-holes then.

i'm just bitter because my boss came to my desk at 11:55 and left at 12:10. i was able to get bottles in my cart while he was talking to me but then they fell off when i went to log in once he left... nevermind me

ha--this is what i get for quickly posting at work and not reading the thread. apologies if i ruffled peoples feathers, that was not the intention. FWIW I didn't max as i dont need 6 of each and just generally love the stuff they make (you can blame @MWolverines66 for that)...agree that limits should probably have been lowered, and my guess is they will be in the future. But I don't think it should be a huge surprise how quickly it sold out given the current state of beer and the general hype around limited releases...it's an issue with basically every release of any mildly hyped beer/brewery right now. People are talking about camping out overnight on thanksgiving just so they can spend $60 for 17oz of a BA stout...

Selling out in a minute plus 11% of the bottles going to people in CA and FL actually seems like an excellent argument for eliminating proxies.

But on the plus side, IL lost significant share, so that's a win in my book

Proxy allow for people out of state to get bottles without going through the trading boards. It also allows people in state who can't attend the release to get bottles. That is important to me.

32 states are represented. This is up from 24 the last round. That says to me the bottles are getting spread out better.

Bottle limits will have to go down. 28% of people maxed out on both bottles. 40% maxed out on 1 or the other accounting for 60% of the bottles sold. Lowering limits will allow more people to purchase bottles, but even still, there are going to be people who miss out.

The answer is to make more beer, and I'm working on that

Those numbers make me feel better about my rant haha. I think I probably accounted for the 1.1% from NY after sharing so much FF beers from Casey. Thanks for making this super smooth for my first BPB interaction. Glad to keep spreading the wealth here!

This is awesome news! Still if you double your beer, it will only gain us an extra minute to try and purchase it...
