Looks like tickets go on sale 5/9. This is always one of my favorite beer events!

Are reg tickets still available? If so, can someone share a link? I can only see on etix the vip option, which of course is sold out.

Last I saw they were sold out. There might be some on a secondary tickets site.

I thought Burning Can was cancelled over issues of distro/labeling ect?

I think there was an issue last year with NC labeling. I believe that has been worked out this year.
Last year Cascade could only pour from bottles at FNK AVL because of the same issue. Hopefully we will have Cascade on draught this year!

I'd get in on a share the night before this. I'll actually be in Asheville the three nights before the event but I have to leave the morning of to attend a wedding in Roanoke.

Not cancelled, we all got refunded last year but there was still probably 30+breweries pouring. Unfortunately its mainly NC breweries only this year.

I talked to the head of alcohol regulations for the area not too long ago and she said that Burning Can/OB didn't submit the proper paperwork to hold the festival as they planned, therfore the issues with last year's festival.

Cascade is great, but they have gone downhill in the past few years...I visit several times every summer while visiting in laws in Portland and have noticed a real drop off in quality since 2014. Just my 2 cents...

But, deGarde has only upped their game and they are making some of the best sours I've ever had!

Does anyone have any insight into if WW figured out their demographics by not having a shitty DJ? Its the FUNK invitational not the corner hipster bodega. We want the FUNK or anything else besides what they presented last year. (Except pop country)

Thanks to the Gestapo tactics of the NCALE, and the district supervisor out to make a name for herself, but I won't repeat that name here. Another beer festival in Hendersonville was simply cancelled because of the hurdles imposed by the ALE on permitting. Whats the big deal with being an out of state brewery, when you can probably go to a bottle shop or grocery store and buy their product.

They should focus on convenience stores selling beer and cigarettes to underage customers, not harassing breweries that are bringing a very positive vibe and economic benefit to the state.

    What fest got canceled?

Mountain Brew Fest, cancelled 4 days before it was scheduled due to the bureaucracy of dealing with ALE. This was after the first Burning Can had to refund all tickets and hold a free festival.

I can't find anything that indicates they will try again this year, so thanks a lot ALE, killed a beer festival and an environmental nonprofits attempt to create a positive event.
