I dropped some off at CO Liquor Mart, Wallaby's, Grapevine, and Little's. That is as far south as it has gotten so far, it will get as south as the Springs next week

Bubbles had 3 cases today (still sitting in boxes in the bomber cooler). I left 2.5 for you.

Oh shit. I better get over there then. I thought they didn't get their CS untill Friday. Every time I go in there I get the run around when I ask questions...

Checking out a Vieille right now...the citra hops are giving it a nice juicy sweetness to it but seems like it needs a little time for the brett to mature and everything come together. Perhaps, though, having just had a Saison Vieille and experiencing the brett with some maturity to it, is having an effect.

When was saison veille artisnal bottled? I had my first veille the other night and was a little underwhelmed as well. The brett wasn't coming through with the tropical fruit, and I got almost 0 citra from it. :slight_frown:

The Saison Veille Artisnal was the non Dry hopped one. The Veille Saison was the Dry Hopped.

Yeah, I wasn't getting much citra out of it, but when you've been drinking homebrewed citra pale ales you get pampered.

Back to Saison D'Brett....anyone else try it yet? Just checked over at RateBeer and there's a couple reviews up for it and both are quite positive. Wondering if the issue was with me and not the beer. Might have to give it a second try.

I loved Brett Dream when it first came out, especially on draft. Problem for me was how it panned out with a year or so on it. Developed into an ultra-dry mineral bomb. Not a pleasant experience for me.

Sooooo, after opening a bottle of the citra hopped vielle saison last night I am happy to report back that, although initially underwhelming, the brett has worked a damned miracle here. Tons of tropical fruit tones, some brett funk, and still a little hop bite backed up with some tartness as well. She's coming into her own for sure right now.

Good to know...wish I had the patience to have waited this out with my final bottle.

That said, I did get around to trying the Funkwerks Saison D'Brett again, and it definitely got a shit ton better with the added age to it. It became a very nice beer....not quite on par with a Boulevard Saison Brett, but one I would have grabbed another bottle of had they not run out at the taproom already.
