Funkwerks Sorachi Saison

Per their newsletter.A new release that will be bottled, though I'd imagine it'll only get limited distribution similar to their other recent releases such as Session Saison, Cameo Saison, etc. This one has my name all over it as I have enjoyed most of their single hop saison releases.

Summer is here and we thought it was a perfect time to release a single hop Saison that is an ode to warm summer days. We brewed a light pale Saison with Sorachi Ace hops. This unique hop variety originated in Japan and is known for its distinct lemony characteristics, a perfect counterpoint to our peppery Saison house yeast. This refreshingly zesty saison has a lemony floral aroma with flavors of bright citrus, ginger, and a hint of herbal tea.

Also, they recently got a Randall and have been coming up with some different infusions of their regular saison. Tried their saison infused with Amarillo hops this past weekend and it was actually pretty great. Worth checking out if hitting up their taproom.
