TIL: BA Stouts are pricier than BA Barleywines
More moro is at least fairly priced, but this $25 bonita is overpriced.... If I didn't have a trading partner who wanted them I wouldn't be buying them. It's a $50.00 four pack.

Good price for More Moro ($10). During the More Moro bottle release, they were $12 each, limit one.

Yeah that's one of the best prices I've seen. I felt MBCP was reasonably priced as well. Muy Bonita at $20.00 would be much more acceptable, 25 just seems like taking us through the ringer. It was only in the barrels for 3 months.

Kind of mad that I missed the More Moro bottles by a day. Had a really great time (and made some great trades) there Tuesday night. Not sure when I'll be back in the area but FB will be on the list for sure.

Eh you didn't miss much unless you really really like citrus. It was too much for me.
These bottles are the same batch too from what I heard, who knows how they held up.

I just had one two weeks ago and it was better than ever. The hops are really outshined by the citrus, so the couple months of "age" is not an issue here. It's pretty much the perfect brunch beer.

I had one 3 weeks ago and it held up well (refrigerated since fresh). I didn't taste hops in it fresh or aged. Its a big orange juice bomb. Think oj mimosa. Great one of a kind beer but nothing like an IPA in my opinion.

Forgot to report back but I did make it over, little later than I wanted but we made it. Got there just as the game ended and everyone was funneling out. Had a great time. The beer was delicious, especially the No Crusts.
We were able to get a tour and check out behind the scenes, really nice place. Would love to make it back over and pick up some More Moro, really wanting to try that out.

Damn, that sucks... Thanks for the heads up

Do they start selling these bottles at a certain time or what? I may be able to make it there tomorrow but it would be early, not 7 PM

The Muy Bonita bottle release starts at 6 pm Tuesday. I heard from a friend who hangs out there almost every day that they are not going to have Muy Bonita on tap - only bottles for sale, $25 each (limit 2).

I was there on Friday night but forgot to ask right away for More Moro and they were sold out by the time I did. I did get my bottle of Iron & Barleywine. Passion of the Crusher (session IPA w/ passion fruit) was really good and they also had the Vanilla OP Porter on tap which is awesome.

Thanks. Not sure if I can go that late or not... What bottles would I be able to pick up if I went tomorrow afternoon? Didn't see anything on their site other than Muy Bonita at 6

I think the only thing you'll be able to get are growlers of their regular stuff (Hop Gun, Floridian, Doc Brown, OP Porter, Crusher, etc).

Or find somebody drinking out of a Snifter (with name engraved) and ask them if they got their bottle of Iron & Barleywine. If they didn't and aren't planning to buy one, ask if you can buy theirs ($20).

Will it be necessary to arrive super-early for this bottle release tomorrow? Can someone who's been to past ones give me an idea on the best way to handle it?

Hard to say really, depends on how many bottles there are. MBCP was easy to get, I showed up fashionably late and was able to stroll in easily and get 2 bottles, but it was also a bigger event and was set up outside etc...

When they did nib smuggler it was limited to 1 per person instead of 2, and no outdoor event. I think they released at 7pm, I got there at 6:30 and there was a decent sized line already indoors. I got my bottle though, and seemed like there was still a decent amount left. The bar became so crowded though it was at least 15 minutes to get a beer so we just got out of there, way too crowded...

So you can probably show up right at 7 and get a bottle, will probably have to wait in line for a half hour or so though. And expect it to be crowded. Maybe it will be less crowded since it's at 6pm instead of 7, and is on a tuesday but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I dont know why you keep harking on this...BA beers are really expensive..plus thats on-point with all other big BA beers sold throuout the country....youve mentioned this a bunch of times already like its a negative.
