My apologies to those that enjoy macro-brews...

I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings with friends tonight. The guy in a table next to me sat down and the waitress said, "We have a special on Miller Lite." He responded: "No thanks; my mother-in-law's turkey was bad enough last night. I'll have a Bells." (Bells Winter, I think).

I'm not sure what made me laugh more, the beer comment or the mother-in-law comment. lol. Probably had to be there, but I about died when I heard that response...I had to share.

Should be apologizing to people who like introductory craft brews. Might want to try and remember that we we're all there once.

When did Miller Lite become "introductory craft brews"? And, it was funny, Lighten Up, Francis.

Did you replace your avatar from a picture of a B-25 to an A-6 or am I suffering from dementia?

Yup, switched it up again. Had just finished another re-read of "Flight of the Intruder", so the change happened. I try to keep it to retired planes.

Lol @ Miller light being craft. But wait.. it's triple hops brewed so technically it's a Triple IPA right?

Seemed to me that he was laughing at the guy for drinking the Bell's winter white.

Only funny part to me was expecting any decent craft options at BW3.

Dude made the joke about the Lite, comparing it to an apparently less than ideal T-Day dinner, then ordered the Bells.

I don't think he was laughing at the guy for having a Bell's. One of us read it wrong.

i was laughing at the turkey comment being equally as worse of as the offering of a miller lite, then a great choice of having a bells. i think it was misinterpreted

The BWW that is opening in my town next week will have Spellbound IPA and porter as well as a dedicated Firestone Walker handle. So it depends fully on which BWW you go to.

    I thought about that! LOL!

Also, I think people got confused on this story on this thread (I think??). It was just a funny moment where the guy compared the Miller Lite to the turkey dinner, as both being terrible, hence he ordered the Bells (I think it was the Winter White but, I forgot). If you are not a fan of Bells, well, that's a different story. Feel free to discuss...  haha.

Oh, here is where it went wrong. No, the guy compared the Miller Lite to his Mother-in-Law's bad turkey, so he didn't want any part of the Miller Lite special. Hence, he ordered what he feels is a good beer -- a Bell's). Ok, now we are back on track. This is like the phone game.

Spot on. BWWs are franchised and the owner of each restaurant gets to decide what beers to put on tap. We have 2 here and the owner cares about one more than the other. The better one always has DFH 90, Weihenstephaner Hefe and Rogue Dead Guy with another half dozen taps that cycle through good to great craft and import brews. The other one? Well, it has the seasonals from Sam Adams and Shiner most of the time...

This reminds me when my brother in law ordered a beer, looked it up on BA, then asked for a different one because the ABV was too high. Didn't know what to do. The waitress just looked at me in awe.
