Lol. I forgot I drank my 12, still have some 11 left, but need to work my way to 14. FYI 10 was past it's prime 2 yrs ago when I had it.
I see it every now and again at specialty shops. Several of those deliberately held some back when it came out to cellar it, and have marked up the price accordingly.
I've actually never had any of the FW anny beers which is nuts since I've tried most sought after "limited" ca releases. I think the price always made me steer clear but it's one of those things I constantly kick myself about now that I live in Va. and haven't seen one since. My first trade was to urbancaver and I sent him a 13th I randomly found about a year after the release.
City Beer in SF still have their stash? I enjoyed the one bottle I'd bought of the FW14 from Whole Foods last year, but not $30/bottle-enjoyed...
I know of at least one place on the Central Coast that still has several 14's on the shelf but, I believe, they are now $30. They had 13 on the shelf as of November at that price but when I was at the shop a month ago I only saw one bottle and it was now marked up to $55. The store also has them on the shelf, not refrigerated. I'd be hesitant to spend $55+ on a 2+ year old bottle that has sat in that condition since it was released. The shop also had loads of 15 still available as did a number of other shops in the area. No Sucuba to be seen though, I guess they really didn't make as much as last year.
there are stores in the pismo/shell beach area with 14 as of a month ago. tons of abacus (well, sucaba) and 15 as well. even some parabola. don't bother asking me where as i don't track these things by store name and i am only in the area for work every few months or so.
This thread got me curious so I just opened my last one I've had in the fridge for a few months. Wow it's drinking great! The weird hop character that was prevalent when it was fresh has toned down. Tastes a lot like FW13 now which I loved.
I wish I could still find some. 14 was my favorite one and I only have one bottle left(planning a 14-18 vertical) I would buy a couple more bottles, even marked up to $30
