Planning a visit and wanted to know if they offer flights or half pours at the Barrelworks taproom?

Actually the first stop after should be Industrial Eats for some excellent food then Libertine.

Feel free to ask for a taste or a half pour of something you're not sure of. They hate when people waste their beer.

Industrial Eats is awesome, as is Bacon and Brine in Solvang! @IggyWH in all the times I've gone I've only ever seen one "waste" of BWX beer, and the guy was asking for an IPA or the closest thing to it. I'm sure there are others though, maybe I don't pay enough attention!

I had a lengthy conversation with a couple of the workers during a lazy Sunday, and that was pretty much their biggest gripe. They hate when people waste beer for no reason, especially when they're willing to give tastes and half pours.

I know some places get all pissy when you ask for a taste, or outright refuse to give tastes, but BWX is not one of those places.

I can see them saying that, no one likes seeing good beer (really really good beer) go to waste.

I think their gripe is there's still a lot of people who have never had a sour, so they come there, get a flight, taste a sour beer and hate it, and then leave not really drinking much. I can see how wasting 15oz of limited beers can drive people up the wall.

Absolutely go to Libertine. I just did a blind side by side of their Morro Rock Saison, Sour Opal, and Highland Park Brewery's Uncontrollable, the Morro Rock Saison was easily my favorite. It's the first Libertine I've had, at least in bottles, that's well balanced.
