Has anyone seen this in San Fran or Napa? Or know when it will be sent out for distro?

Official release is this week, distros should get it and then it'll make it way out to the world... In my area it isn't expected until probably 2nd week in Aug, maybe a bit later. I've noticed that the Bay area gets their distro sooner and spreads faster.... I presume that means you guys have fast actin' distributors, so that's cool.

I was at the brewery in Paso Robles the week before it was available at the tasting room that weekend. I was hoping they would have the bottles available for sale then. No luck. Will have to wait till it gets down here to the LA/OC area.

Had it at the tasting room in Buellton. It is hot, needs some time in the bottle.

I actually thought it was near perfect right now. The subtle hotness that is present was a nice compliment to the sweetness. I really liked it.

Indeed it is. Between that, Simtra, and Tart of Darkness, I left feeling good.

Is this going to be part of the Walker's Reserve series (ie 22 oz bottles) or in a 4/6 packs?

Super excited for this one! Tried it at FW Invitational and it was fantastic.

I'm visiting SF, and I saw this in a random corner shop, but it looked like a 4-pack. Maybe it was last year's? Any way to tell the difference aside from bottle size?

If you saw a 4-pack of a FW proprietor's reserve series beer, then it is Double Jack which is a fresh batch. Double DBA is seeing its first time bottling this year.

I'm actually thinking it was the Double Barrel Ale. The package said DBA, and when I searched my beer app for that, all I got was Double DBA, but I now see there may be a different option.
