FW in VA?

Yeah Sucuba is here, or was here, it sold out of a lot of places already. There is a Total Wine in Manassas that may have it. You should also be able to find the new Double Jack 4packs. Union Jack and DBA used to be around here, I haven't bought or looked for them in quite a while and I remember hearing something about Union Jack not coming here anymore, but I really don't know for sure. Other than Total Wine there is not much more in Manassas that I know of. There is a small shop in Gainesville called Cork & Fork, their selection is small but a few years ago I found Abacus sitting on the shelf after it had been sold out everywhere for a while, I thought I had missed it, so that was pretty awesome. Their prices can be a little higher than other places, but usually not too crazy. The Wegmans in Gainesville has a pretty decent beer selection too. If your brother in law is any better about bringing you beer than my jackass brother, sorry he is cool but how hard is it to bring back some beer from South Carolina, really? Anyway he could get on 66 from Manassas and head out to Whole Foods in Fair Lakes, also there is Chantilly Total Wine near there. Unfortunately Total and Whole Foods are really the only places around that area to find good beer. The closest non corporate beer shop, other than Cork & Fork, would be Norm's out in Vienna. Its a little hike from Manassas, but last year I did see Sucaba sitting on the shelf for a few weeks at the Vienna Whole Foods.

 

I haven't really looked but it should be. Whole Foods had Wookie on tap recently, I'm pretty sure I saw it in Manassas Total Wine recently as well.

 

Wooky is down here in the RIC - gonna pop some open this weekend.

 

Sucaba sold out in under an hour in the two locations I know that got it here.

 

Yes I have seen it at that very store. Double jack is available at the Wholefoods in fairfax. As far as Sucaba goes you'll have to get lucky at an independent shop.

 

TW Manassas has had wookey pretty steadily for the past few months. Double Jack and Porter bombers are usally there too. Union Jack and Double Jack in 12oz are hit and miss. have never seen DBA in there.

i'll be in cork and fork on thursday (my dentist is in the same shopping center) and can report back.

TW Manassas today had porter, double jack and wookey - all 22s. didn't check 12oz. The officially got shut out of any sucaba.

Cork had one 12 oz and a bunch of 22s of Double, 6ers of Union. asked about sucaba - woman was really cool and took my # and said she'd ask her destrib. and call either way. not holding hope, but a nice gesture.

 

Total wine on Main Street in fairfax had like 4 Sucaba left yesterday and BA Bigfoot.

 

Anyone know if Sacuba is still around anywhere in the area this year?

 

Waiting for Sucaba to show up in Newport News/Va Beach still.

 

I just got word TW in Manassas got a case (6 bottles) last week and it was gone quickly. Whole Foods in Fair Lakes had a raffle on their FB page. It looks like I missed out this year, unless anyone else knows something?
