it was pretty much all obtainable in previous years, even to us normal-time entrants, as long as you were willing to stand in line for a minute or two. Of course there was basically no line for Citra, or Boneyard, Southern Tier, Alpine…

Yeah, I mean, just game-plan and choose which beer is your whale of the day and get your a$$ in that line and wait it out (the lines, even the long ones, move pretty quickly). After that, maybe just focus on the time sensitive pours (the Bruery does a lot). There really is an overwhelming amount of awesome stuff. The Pizza Port tent alone was filthy last year. At a certain point, you can get a nice fill of Alpine and Beachwood IPAs when things die down a touch.

Just curious, does anyone know how many rooms will be in the Firestone room blocks? or an average room rate? I have a ticket, but no place to stay. :slight_frown:

Question about the tickets being "non-transferable" - which I believe I've seen on their website. Is that correct, or is there a work-around?

I have two tickets that I won't be able to use (sadly - because this festival is incredible) - so looking to find a home for them.

    thx!

btw - I have someone set to take them off my hands. If that falls through I'll make a new post...

Last year they didn't even compare ticket names to IDs. They had enough on their hands checking to make sure everyone was 21 and scanning the ticket barcodes whilst anxious beer geeks were champing at the proverbial bit to run to the whales.

The other thing about this is that you could buy two tickets and both tickets are under the one persons name. Thus there was really no way for them to tie a ticket to a person. I was somewhat worried about that last year since I'd purchased tickets for myself, my wife and father in law and nowhere did it give me the option to specify.

I won't be at the fest, but I have a Saturday night reservation at Holiday Inn in Paso Robles (24th and Riverside), walking distance to/from the Invitational. I booked it without paying enough attention and it's non-refundable, so I offer it up here.

If anyone needs/wants it or is interested, BM me.

    Thanks,
    joe

I just went through this with FW. They said no big deal with the names as long as it is a valid ticket.

I know this is random, but just curious if anyone who is coming from San Jose would want to share a hotel room? I wasn't able to book a room quick enough, but still have my ticket and want to go. If anyone would like to split a room let me know.

Anyone know when/where they will be announcing beers being poured like they did last year?

Believe the initial list started showing up around mid-month last year. So maybe expect to see something around the same time as the Rosé/Stickee Monkee release?

I just came up on 2 tickets, probably going to be sleeping in my car since all the rooms are booked already :slight_frown:
