Figured I'd start a thread about Sucaba on LI. For the last 3 years, my local store has only got about 3-6 bottles of Sucaba. I was lucky enough to be living up in RI for grad school last year and scored two bottles from the same store for a great price with no problem. I will not be in RI this year, and would love to find a bottle or two this time around.

Anyone seen this around yet? I heard it has hit Manhattan.

I will share information as more information becomes available.

grabbed a bottle at Beer Boutique on Wednesday. Haven't seen it elsewhere locally yet, but normally I only see the ones that advertise on FB/Beermenu.

Thank you for being the first and only person to actually say where it might be possible to find Sucuba. Everyone else seems to be too protective of their secret. Don't be afraid to ask for help for a rare beer in the future, as I commonly go out of state and have better luck (ahem Parabola). We can work something out.

Can't stand people who mention they find beer but are too full of themselves to help other people out.

I told everyone who PMed me and asked. Kind of ironic that you got your jimmies rustled that it wasn't posted publicly when you asked people to PM you privately with the information. Entitled much?

I wasn't talking about anybody in particular so hold your judgement. Never onced mentioned your name, did I? You must think the world revolves around you. I just see it all the time. This is a site dedicated towards beer and there is a forum so beer lovers can help other beer lovers. If I really needed to know I would have PM'd you. Thanks to @PeterP-516, I was lucky enough to have my uncle pick me up a bottle this morning on his way down to my house for the ocean swim this morning.

When I post that I found a beer that people are obviously looking for and start a thread about it, I usually post where I found that beer. I'm not a hoarder and don't need to keep the beers to myself. If I am looking for it, its probably likely that someone else is as well.

I asked ONE person to PM me with information about it because people seem to have such a problem with noting where they find beers publicly on this site. Beer lovers are becoming beer snobs and it's pretty disgusting. And that one person never answered. I knew most people wouldn't post publicly, so I asked if they would "please, if they were so inclined" to PM with me information. If that happened, and I was lucky enough to get to that store while they still had some, I would have immediately posted about it so other BA's could get the chance to pick it up.

Why does it seem that most people on this site think it is a contest to find beers?

When BCBS came out, as soon as my store got their allocation, I immediately posted about what they had and how much for other people. Most people on this site were like "I found it in [insert region].." and that's it. If you don't have much to contribute, don't contribute at all. I am all about helping other people find wanted beers. Afterall, it is...just..beer.

You didn't mention my name, but you do know that you quoted my post? I don't think the world revolves around me at all, but when someone quotes me, they are engaging me in conversation. If I thought the world revolved around me I would post some tirade about how people don't behave the way I want them to and how they are all jerks because they didn't tell me where they found the beer I wanted so I could send someone else to goandpickitupformebro. If I thought the world revolved around me I would expect those with information to reach out to me instead of taking 5 seconds to reach out to them.

The problem with the beer scene is the entitlement and whining. There are not enough bottles to go around for everyone who wants them, posting where they are on a public forum means that they will be gone even faster and we would have to hear even more people whine about how they "deserve" a bottle over the next guy. It is so nice of you to help others find beer...those who don't have the luxury of dropping everything to go to a beer store probably really appreciated you spilling the beans to the truck chasers so they could snatch up all the Bcbs in a store they never even knew existed. Thanks for being so community focused.

I quoted your post in a joking way, not demanding shit. I dont truck chase either because I have a job. No one here, especially myself, says they deserve a bottle. Its all about helping people, its a community. Beer is going to be bought whether you like it or not. Helping people who are in the same community as you is not a bad thing.

By the way, if thats you in your avatar, cut your hair. This isn't 1960.

no one tells chuck norris to cut his hair...NO ONE!!!

as for all this jazz with @BoardwalkBock agree to disagree. you want to help your friends find bottles, go for it...you want to help strangers find bottles, go for it...heck, go pick up bottles for other people too. just understand that posting information on a website results in inventory being depleted almost instantly - and very rarely to loyal customers. you might as well post, store X has it so you better leave now to go get it because someone else is already on their way or sent their mule to pick it up for them (just like you did)...

ISO recent batch of parabola or was that offer only to select persons? I can't stand people who mention they find beer but are too full of themselves to help other people out.
