FW Velvet Merkin in NJ

    Figured I'd throw this up for anyone interested. Just got a text from my High Grade rep as well as the beer manager at a local liquor store. FW Velvet Merkin is hitting the shelves today, at least in north Jersey (I'm in Union County).

    That's central jersey. North jersey for beer distributors purposes is Nash and they suck and will lie about having this and then suddenly have it in a month.

    Hope to see this in Hunterdon county soon, as I loved this beer when I had it on tap last year.

    It hit Monmouth County this week. In fact, I'm drinking it now and it's wonderful.

    I called SR in Westfield and they told me they had it so I had them reserve one. Drove a half hour and they ran out apparently. Great job jackasses.

    Where in Monmouth? Will be visiting my dad next week in Shrewsbury and am always on the lookout for great beer shops to check out.

    Yea, sorry I could've told you that. None of the hard to get beers they recieve ever make it to the shelves. They reserve it out to a pretty big group of regulars that go there. Not sure who told you they would hold one though....normally they would just say they were out of it.

    Check out Spirits Unlimited in Red Bank, that's probably the closest solid shop to Shrewsbury

    That's the second time this has happened with FW stuff. I just hate how long AB-inBev takes to ship their stuff.
