My local haunt got 4 cases of it in today, and it's just sitting there on the shelf. Backwoods is here and there is plenty to find!

Its just been that way recently. A few years ago I was grabbing multiple 4 packs of KBS and BB with no problems. BB was siting on the shelves for weeks not 3 years ago. It's a recent trend that things like those have become impossible to find. Distribution to our state of those releases has clearly shrunk.

I don't know about other stores but all the Sherlock's stores sold out of their allotments. We sell out everytime and are usually going back looking for more. Terrapin for sure takes the cake as far as creativity goes.
The 15 was pretty awesome and I got some whenever you want to come by. Wanted to see how it would cellar. Got a few other things in the cellar too. Come on by when you get a chance.

I guarantee you there's not a lot of BB that passed thru here, at best most of the better places only got 2 cases a piece. At a 4'pk limit that's 12 happy beer geeks at most.

Yeah, I went out tonight to see if I could get a 4 pack to cellar away for the winter.. No luck so far, just my lone 4 pack my wife got the other evening after work for me.

I'll definitely stop in to your store soon enough. Used to be my old "stompin" grounds back when I was in school. I'll bring some goods, and we can crack a few somewhere! I have a 15 I'm sitting on as well, I thought it would be a good cellar beer.

Did you guys get any Bells This goes to 11? I got some a few weeks ago, and then tonight, came across a pile of it in Atlanta.. Seems there was another spurt that got out.

You need to get out more. There are a lot of new and fun beers constantly being brewed in Atlanta.

Red Brick recently did a fantastic double IPA for Atlanta Beer week (Hop Wheels). I really enjoy their barrel aged anniversary beers.

Red Hare also did a beer for beer week (Coffee Kahlua Cream Stout).

Have you tried the new grapefruit saison from Wild Heaven or the Gratzer that Wild Heaven did in collaboration with Wrecking Bar? How about the Baltic Porter with rye and cocoa nibs brewed as a collaboration between Wrecking Bar and The Porter?

Wrecking Bar offers up a new barrel aged beer every Wednesday and a new firkin every Friday. The barrel aged beer this week was a double IPA aged on cedar with tequila. Other recent beers over the just last few weeks include a barrel aged smoked porter, an oatmeal cookie porter, a stout with orange peels and cocoa nibs, side by side bourbon aged imperial stouts in both Woodford and Evan Williams barrels.

Speaking of side-by-side barrel aged beers, right now 5 Seasons Westside has on two different series. This weekend they are pouring flights of a Belgian dark ale that has been aged on French Oak, American Bourbon, and Zinfandel barrels along with the base beer for comparison. There is also an Island version done in a rum barrel. They also have a beer that was designed for bourbon barrels and have it available aged in Jack Daniels, Old Pogue, Four Roses, Evan Williams, and Pappy Van Winkle (20yr). All of this is in addition to their weekly firkin which this week was a Citra fresh hop IPA that was dry hopped with even more fresh Citra hops. At the same time they were pouring an Amarillo fresh hop IPA and the best Nelson IPA I've ever had. Any place that has three separate and distinct IPAs available at the same time gets my vote.

If you like hops, Twain's is the place to go. They have been doing a series of single hop beers this year along with several other hoppy choices. The Dirty DIPA that they did in collaboration with Sweetwater was excellent. I think right now at Twain's you'll also find three different IPAs available.

These are just a few examples off the top of my head. Atlanta breweries are doing a lot of new and interesting beers to seek out. You just have to get out there and seek them.

Good stuff.. I was mainly talking about stuff that is showing up on tap at growler places, and stuff that is bottled. Not the one off baby batch stuff that I have to literally be in the know, or at the right place to get it.

I have had the flights of beer at 5 Seasons already, great stuff... They did a Scotch Ale that was put in all those barrels as well. The Four Roses and the PVW were oh so very good. The Citra Pale is killer, but I actually loved the Amarillo Fresh Hop Pale they had.. Paired it with that alligator.. man that was a good lunch.

Appreciate the heads up on some of the stuff though.
