    Check this out: http://www.rtd-denver.com/
Although a cursory search returned no routes. You might be better off getting a taxi or uber or lyft or blue van shuttle or...

Yep, the light rail to/from the airport isn't quite ready yet. Next year it will take you directly from the airport right down to the heart of GABF-land.

Anyone remember when they released the beer list last year? Looking forward to my feeble attempt at planning a route that can actually be accomplished.

    Hello all,

I will be attending GABF this year with a few friends that went last year and want to know if there are any places I must see/eat at while I'm there. I got some good suggestions for bars and bottle shops while searching the thread but what about all the great cuisine and activities that aren't beer centric? I know that my group planned on making it up to Fort Collins for a day as we will be there from 9/23 until 9/28. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's Denver- there's never any time when there's no traffic any more. I would save the $20...

Fort Collins has a ton of stuff to offer. Here, check out some of these posts I've made:
Reddit post on some of my personal favorite breweries
Someone coming to denver for beer:
    HERE

If you are headed to Fort Collins for beer, you could go to Benson Sculpture Park in Loveland, there is nothing like it in the World. Seriously. You might also go to Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park which is just 1 hour away from Loveland. It's prime fall colors season here, which is much different than New York, but still nice. What you are looking for is Aspen trees which turn yellow/orange/red and look great esp in late afternoon sun or when contrasted with stormy skies. You could drive to the top of Trail Ridge Road in RMNP and it will literally take your breath away.
If you are outdoorsy/in good shape you could hike to the top of Horsetooth Rock in Fort Collins (before sampling beer).

For other non-beer related stuff, you could check out Red Rocks west of Denver, or you could go to Colorado Springs and visit Garden of the Gods and drive to the summit of Pikes Peak for a truly amazing experience. Just bring a jacket.[/quote]

Myself and wife used Lyft this am from the airport to downtown. It cost $28 for both of us. First time we ever used it but it worked out great, waited 2 minutes and we were on our way. Apparently it's all done through an app so you have to download that to get service.

Hey guys will be arriving Thursday morning at 9am wondering how the public transportation system is in Denver?

Dead serious. You have to have their app to get them to pick you up. It's all done through the interwebs. I'm sure it's easy but I'm too lazy and stoopid to do it myself, my wife had to do it but it worked out really well. I'm sure it's like Uber, service depends on where the drivers are, availability, etc but it worked out well this morning. No traffic @ 9 either.

It's pretty good, depends where you want to go. Check www.rtd-denver.com to see what kinds of services they offer. Light Rail is my personal favorite but doesn't go everywhere. Lots of busses.

Thanks man, I am familiar with lyft and Uber. I was asking regarding public transportation as in cheaper then Uber/Taxis since whatever I save I get to drink hahahaa. I might share an UBER on thursday once I get to the airport.

Right, thats why I thought you were joking. The whole premise of the service is that you can find a ride at any time using the app.

Gotchya man, I kinda glanced over your post and automatically assumed transportation, not just public. Well now ya know how much it costs from the airport to downtown if you change your mind
