Haha. Always makes meeting up with people a joy!

Thanks, man! I can definitely scoop up some more Darkness if folks are interested in bottles. PM me!

T-Mobile reception in Denver is torture. You'll be getting 60MB downloads on one block and basically nothing at all on the next. They claim to be the fastest in town because the average of 60 and <1 is still better than Verizon and AT&T's consistently slow speeds.

Haha - it'll be better than trying to message dudes on Beer Advocate down in Decorah because neither of us have cell phone coverage at Mornin' Delight day! Ended up shipping stuff that time. Love that amazing T-mo coverage!

I'd be interested in Toppling Goliath stuff. I have no idea my schedule save for our event (a discussion on brewery staff drinking at work) on Thursday and going to the members session on Saturday. Falling Rock or Freshcraft usually serve as meet-and-trades. Maybe someone should establish a meeting thread??

Not sure what they're all sending out but I've had most of the flagships from both and they're all pretty solid. If you're going to try one, Rhinegeist Truth is a really nice IPA.

River North is doing some cool stuff for GABF. They are doing a cellar release of Father Time, Shadowman, and ?? something else. They are also dropping special Mr. Sandman variants on Saturday at NOON I think. Mayan Chocolate and Toasted Coconut, in 12.7 oz/ 375 ml bottles. They are also going to have special stuff on tap throughout the week and culminating on Saturday.

Looks like the GABF app got the brewery list and map update. Start clicking away.

I've always found the app to be very handy. Not because I'll have my phone in my hand the whole fest but because it makes marking my plan attack on the map they hand out a helluva lot easier. Compounds 30 mins into 5 once you've generated your "must haves" list on the app. Time is money.

Why do I always forget to squirrel away enough cash for this time of year? @Dan_K , those River North releases look pretty sweet!

    Rhinegeist makes excellent hoppy beers.

So who are people excited for? Would love tips from SW or SE breweries I don't know too well. Illinois repping decent. Obviously half acre and rev. Alter is my neighborhood joint. Some solid offerings. Forbidden root doing top notch NE IPA's and other goodies. Maybe tops in Midwest. Noon whistle offers a variety of great ones depending what they bring. Get a gummy IPA if they have one. Happy to give feedback on other breweries if you have them. Can't wait to get there.

I think they'll have some around town but make sure you check out Uberbrew at the festival. Killed it at Alpha King the last two years and copious amounts of hardware last year at the festival itself.

Probably only Scratch from your neck of the woods.

Forbidden Root is absolutely killing it with their NEIPA brews. I've only been able to drink about a handful of them but each one of them is better than anything I've had in CO and just as good, if not better, than a lot of the "big boys" from the east coast that are brewing the same style. If Corridor was going to be out here for GABF we would have a double headed NEIPA monster on our hands... I mentioned it earlier in this thread but check out Pure Project out of San Diego if you get the chance. They're killing it in the IPA category right now. I should also mention that I haven't even looked at the entire list of breweries that will be pouring at the festival. I'm pretty much just concentrating on the breweries and events that will be pouring at the events surrounding the festival since I'm not planning on attending GABF itself.

I’d agree in Forbidden Root killing the IPA game.... a must try!

Scratch is awesome but they might as well be in Missouri. Far far from his neck of the woods.

When does b&b usually start putting gabf related beers on tap?

It has varied a little bit from year to year, but definitely by the first night of the festival. They generally want to be able to send people from the booth to the pub. Some years I've seen the rarer items on the weekend prior, though. Unless something is super limited (like the '03 wine barrel Brain they had on 3 years ago), supplies should last through Sunday.

Both are great, IMO. Got to visit both places when I was in Cincinnati a couple years ago and thought both were great. As someone who primarily buys local beers, both of those guys would be stealing my beer money regardless of what market I was living in. Madtree was my favorite of the two, Psychopathy was one of my favorite IPA's I have enjoyed, but I do think Rhinegeist is more in tune with the most drinking trends/preferences. For example, Psychopathy was rooted in C hops, whereas Rhinegeist's beers seemed to utilize newer types of hops.
