I love Amalgamator (and most everything from Beachwood, IPA-wise and also the "lambics" that they have coming out of the Blendery). its just a incredibly tasty West Coast IPA. I'd probably dish out $15 for a sixer since we pretty rarely see it out here.

That seems to be the going price with this drop. No idea where that $10 came from.

All you guys are making me drool here in Kansas....thankfully I will be there Wednesday afternoon to quench my thirst! Hope I can find some Sip or some of the Amalgamator. Actually, I can't wait to drink whatever I can get my hands on, seems like there is a lot more out of distro distrobution this year, compared to last year.

Not sure where you ended up grabbing Amalgamator, but this is about the right price. We are at $14.98, which is a medium-to-low markup based on the distributor's price. $10 is well below cost, so anywhere that has it at that price is by mistake.

Not seeing anything about tickets to that event. Do you have a link?

Come join the Melvin crew and drink some bombass IPA. All of our homies are bringing their best shit! I don't think it's a ticketed event(don't quote me on that). Enjoy all the Melvin events around town, just go to Melvinbrewing.com for the
full list. Check out all the other killer events around town with various breweries.

That's the thing though, last year wasn't ticketed, but their post made it sound like that it was. I got in last year without a ticket with my brother, and I know many others didn't have tickets either. So I'm not a 100% positive, I'm still going regardless, it was a bombass event last year, and looks like it will be again this year. Melvin, Lawson's and Falling Rock do a good job with this!

Just to clarify: You will not need a ticket to get in Falling Rock 10/4. We will be having the IPA Throwdown on the outside keg trailer, and we're selling drink tickets to avoid long lines at cashout. You can get 6 8oz drink tickets and a commemorative glass for $40, or single drink tickets for $7. Hope that clears things up. It's gonna be hoptastic!

Are we seeing any wet hops from you guys this year?

Maybe, the bottles we sent to comp are bomb but the last keg we have on tap not so much. We got some grim hops this year. But I'm gonna taste the first keg we sent down when i get down there and see if it meets Melvin standards. Otherwise we will have some cherry bomb and a bunch of hoppy stuff of course. Look for our Dunkle weizen in the pro am section. Enjoy the fest.

So, let's talk about the weather.
If you're a CO person, then you know what to do.
If you're coming in from outta state, then CO weather is an odd bird. Forecast calls for clouds, temps between 40-70 with slight breeze. A cloudy, 43 degree day is actually quite nice here. Saturday has some sun. So....

    Still drink water!
Bring a light rain jacket and a long sleeve shirt. Maybe a hat for evenings/nights. Chances are you'll be walking in light rain around downtown at some point, but it shouldn't be a major thing. You may see snow here and there.
Pants: Optional, but I recommend them. With plenty of pockets.
Shoes: I recommend wearing shoes. Open toe stuff is risky, from puddles to puke.
Saturday may get toasty if it's sunny. The sun is intense and unless you're in tents (ha!) you'll feel it outside.
Backpacks: NO! NEIN! NET! Last thing a crowded event needs is someone swinging around with a backpack full of...whatever.
    Pets: You should know better

I'm on the way into Denver right now and am hitting Great Divide (one of my favorites) first. Other than that, I just plan on trying beers that I've never had and can't get in Tennessee (and there are many). I'm going to the Thursday session, should be fun!

Got a King Sue for while my Morning Delight warmed up a bit... then grabbed a Golden Nugget. One of the TG guys hooked us up with some Kentucky Brunch. All the beers were phenomenal- I can now totally understand the internet dick-pumping they receive... its definitely warranted

I heard there was a bottle of KBBS going around. I grabbed King and Mornin' and went outside. Thought King Sue was good but not better than many local offerings. Mornin' Delight was an experience, on the other hand. I'm a huge coffee fan, so most coffee beers piss me off, but this one was in my wheelhouse. Overall, it was really really cool that we got this in our home town.

Went over to Craft Beer Cellar right after and got my Sip of Sunshine 4-pack and talked to Chris, as per usual.

Sometimes we're spoiled here in Colorado.
