We're spoiled fucking brats here. But let's keep that on the DL, we already have enough transplants.

Did any of the beers kick right away?

Also, on Wednesday, what are people planning on hitting up during the day? WeldWerks release, TG takeover at Lowdown or CSA Portfolio event at Hops and Pie?

Hahahah I kauped my 4-pack of SoS before the tapper... got the beachwood IPA too.

We’re certainly spoiled here.. I don’t think I’ve had that type of chocolate in a beer before morning D. The KBBS was clearly made with it and the BBA action on it was near perfect. Still think BBA Sump was quite a bit better (probably higher quality coffee), but I can see how it’s dick gets pumped the way it does.

i got there 10 minutes after the tapping and waited about 20 minutes before being noticed by the busy staff. King Sue and MD were being emptied the entire time. Given the crowd I'd be surprised if those 2 lasted the night.

Does anyone know when the MD will be tapped on Wednesday by chance? I know the vent is like 10 hours long, so I'd imagine it wouldn't be tapped at 11am when it starts, just a guess. I arrive Wednesday afternoon, and would love to try this. Cause we all know its going to be a crazy line at the gabf event when they pour. And knowing how TG operates, they probably only brought 1 4pack for 1 day.

Regardless, I know I will be drinking world class beer for 5 days straight!

@raynmoon just curious what is local that’s on par with King Sue?

I usually find the strength of 8+ ABV hoppy beers to be a bit much and found it to be relatively balanced, especially considering its listed at 100+ ibus

I just felt that weldwerks and Melvin offerings were superior. I didn't enjoy King Sue very much, not sure why. Felt very bitter and rough.

wondering if any CO locals could chime in on the current conditions of I-70W. Was planning on driving out to casey tomorrow AM, but looks like chain laws are in effect with 14inches of snow around vail. would taking 70 to 91 etc to glenwood require chains (advised via gmaps)? with a rental car, doesn't look too feasible. thoughts?

Dude- just enjoy your weekend in Denver... if you’re getting here tomorrow, I’m sure there’s some spots around that have Casey bottles for sale. Saw some in Fort Collins today in fact..

True, always wanted to visit glenwood/casey. Looks like I'll have to check that off some other time

EVERTYTHING gets tapped at 11am. The reason they post that the event is all day is because they just keep pouring until everything runs out. They use their normal hours of operation as the event time.

That's debatable but I can see why you would say that. I'm going to WW on Thursday morning that way I can hit up the TG takeover and another event or 2 during the day on Wednesday.

Also, @infrared90s Casey bottles have hit select Denver stores. You should be fine on those if that's what you're looking for.

Doing the same. Bummed to miss out on Vanilla Medianoche, but I've had that out of the bottle before. Still debating between the Lowdown event or Hops and Pie tomorrow. Hops and Pie still hasn't posted a taplist yet which isn't helping.

We were thinking of hitting up Hops & Pie after Lowdown depending on what's left and if there's a line to get in or not. Also, depends on the tap list. Should be announced sometime today...Maybe I'm being a little optimistic but I'm hoping there will be some vanilla Noche left at open on Thursday. If not, oh well, there will be other good stuff.

Has anyone heard what's getting tapped at the Curiosity Ball at Star Bar Friday night? The only beers I know of is Maman and Corail de Sang by Perennial.

Is there a coat check at the convention center? I hate carrying extra layers around with me.
