Is anybody else planning on celebrating this weekend even though the actual Festival has been canceled? I'm planning on popping some rusty nails and B bombs with my neighbor. We usually go to the Festival together, so we're going to try to keep the tradition alive. If I could stumble across Utopias we might just splurge so we can get the real feel of it.
The past 2 weeks or so have found me having my own Not-So-Great-Not-So-American-Beer-Not-So-Festive-Small-Tasting-Event-Thingy (NSGNSABNSFSTET). This means I invade my cellar and drink some goodies, sprinkle in some local Oktoberfests beers, and dedicate the cost of GABF to other beer purchases.
I'm psyched Wibby got gold for Volksbier, their Vienna lager. It is great. And CO breweries that I've never heard of (lol) took gold in Maerzen and altbier categories.
