well, just found out i'm heading to GABF after all this was supposed to be Rebecca's year, but, things came up beyond our control. so, i'm being sent in as the relief pitcher hope to see some of you west coasters out there!
I'm flying out on Wednesday and fly home early Sunday. Media pass for all sessions! Going to the FW dinner on the 10th as well.
Leave Thurs return Monday night. Meeting some of the lady's family, but will hit GABF Friday night, Brunch with the Bruery on Saturday. We'll c what else can be snuck in.
yuuup got that press pass, will be there Thurs-Sun. Still looking into events outside of the festival... any thoughts?
How do you guys qualify for the press pass these days? Do they make you describe the inverted pyramid or sumpin'?
i know 50/50 is at falling rock wednesday nite. a lot of events at falling rock, as usual. haven't had a chance yet to figure out where to go outside of GABF.
The amount of awesome events seems pretty overwhelming. I've been trying to comb through this: http://blogs.denverpost.com/beer/2012/10/01/updated-gabf-week-calendar/6290/ in search of stuff, though I don't know how much I'll be able to handle beyond the festival. Plus there is the whole 'I guess I kinda hafta work a little bit to justify the press pass' thing.
Plan: Thurs night - Star Bar New Belgium & O'Dell's specialty releases Marco's Coal Fire - More Odell's Fri evening - GABF evening Sat - Breakfast w/ Bruery @ cheeky monk Sun - River North tapping & Falling Rock leftovers I have Friday late night & Sat night free & plan to bring a couple of beers if anyone is interested. Want to do falling rock, but too crowded for my friends who have a toddler, so gotta wait until Sunday. BM if interested in meeting up. There's also a great list under mountain forums. A guy by the name of Steve Steig(?) has potentially a more encompassing list.
