Does anyone know when they open up the hotels for GABF? The blocked off one's with the GABF discount. I can't find it anywhere and I just happened upon it last year by chance.

On the GABF website, there's a link under Travel, Hotels. Looks like it still have the 2017 information. Tickets got on sale July 31 and August 1, so I assume the link will be working by then.

Keep in mind the light rail. Downtown Denver has lots to do, but can be expensive. Hotels along the light rail are almost always cheaper, and there are several rail lines...all leading to downtown. Plus, it's always an "interesting" ride back from GABF et al.

I ride up from the Lincoln station, and the ride back is always fun. It may be difficult for a tourist though. :smirk:

Just in case anyone is interested, the GABF hotels site is open. No notification from GABF as usual. I've just been checking every day.

With Lyft and Uber being so readily available that week (~1 minute wait), you can stay almost anywhere now. With the light rail prices to the outer rings going up, I don't even take it anymore.
Not sure if it's still the case, but last year people were claiming that the hotels over by Stapleton were dirt cheap.
